About

RBB

Hi, I'm Robert Barreto-Bajana.

I'm a project manager who spends most days moving between techie projects at home and writing about my experiences. For the past several years I've worked on tools for teams — the unglamorous kind of software that people rely on every day without thinking about it, which is exactly the point.

I care about restraint: interfaces that do less so the person using them can think more clearly. That same instinct shows up in how I write. Most of what's on the blog started as a note to myself after a project wrapped, something I wanted to remember the next time around.

Outside of work I read more nonfiction than is probably healthy, keep a small collection of fountain pens I rarely use, and am slowly working through every trail within a day's drive of home.

If you want to talk about a project, or just say hello, my inbox is open.
